What do we do?

The Interfaces team focuses on making the arm more versatile and customizable for each patient’s individual needs. We aim to find materials that are more accessible and life-like, while finding ways to improve the pre-existing aspects of the arm.

Projects

Finger Redesign

Design and 3D print new fingers with joints that allow for further motion options and utilize a more flexible, life-like material

Jank Sleeve

Testing an alternative sensor design that is cheap, lightweight, and easy to use

Capacitive Sensors

Using the same filter circuit, developing and testing wearable electrodes to determine which prosthetic works best based on signal quality and cost

Soft Robotics

Developing a more life-like hand that allows for touchscreen interaction and increased grip strength
